How do you wash your dishes? In Australia, most people fill their sink with hot water, add some detergent to that water, and then wash all their dishes in that same water. Then, we dry them. That’s right. We don’t rinse our dishes. Sometimes you can see soap bubbles on the dishes in the dish rack. In Australia, we don’t have much water, so we do this to use less water. When I was younger, I didn’t like this, so when I washed the dishes, I filled one sink with hot water and detergent, and one sink with clean water. I washed the dishes in the first sink and rinsed them in the second. Thankfully, most people use a dishwasher now. It saves time and water, and we don’t have to eat detergent.
