【英語多読】Ticks, Crosses and Circles ～海外の採点記号が逆？！～

今日の英語記事は英語圏のテスト採点の記号の話をします。1回読んでみて、意味を推測してから、下のボックスを開きながら理解を深めていきましょう。
If you get full marks on a test in Australia, it will be covered in ticks (✔). In the English-speaking world, a tick means “yes”. It is used when something is good, correct or finished. So, teachers write a tick next to a correct answer and a cross (✘) next to an incorrect answer. There is another difference too. Teachers often draw a circle around mistakes. Compared to Japan, the meanings of ticks and circles are quite different.
