However, about 5% of people become so tired that they can\u2019t work or study. This is called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), and it is a mental illness.<\/p>\n<p>People who have SAD are usually healthy, happy people. However, from autumn until the end of winter, they get depression. They are very sad, have no energy and cannot enjoy anything. Sometimes, they want to die. In addition, people with winter SAD sleep too much and eat too much food, so they gain a lot of weight.<\/p>\n<p>Some people say that people get SAD because there is less sunlight in winter. With less sunlight, their brains make different amounts of the chemicals that control your mood and sleep. If you have SAD, try to spend more time outside and get some exercise, and if it is bad, please see a
